About
Beth is an award winning playwright and screenwriter.
Wonderland, her critically acclaimed second play, won her the Evening Standard Theatre Award for Most Promising Playwright, and was a finalist for the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize. Wonderland was broadcast live worldwide through the Guardian website and has since had multiple sold-out regional productions. Beth’s fourth and most recent play, The House of Shades, was due to open at the Almeida Theatre, London, in May 2020 in a production directed by Blanche McIntyre starring Anne Marie Duff. The play has been postponed due to the Coronavirus crisis. She is the National Theatre’s Writer in Residence and has screen projects in development with The Forge and Fable Pictures.
Originally from Nottinghamshire, she is now based in London.
